Apple, iPhone

The curious case of the iPhone app

This item in GalleyCat is interesting because it's about an app developed by indieBound, a group that supports independent bookstores. This is the first iPhone app I've ever seen dedicated to preserving a brick-and-mortar institution. It's an app that helps shoppers locate independent bookstores, browse their book catalogs, and buy books from them. I guess it's a case of “if you can't beat 'em, use 'em.”
