More on San Juan Cosala´

The cleanup has begun in San Juan Cosala´ (see yesterday's post for the background story). This slide show has more pictures. Click on the photo to see the titles/numbers. The one numbered DSC_33717—with the gaping hole in the garden wall—is my dad's house. In slide DSC_3800 you can see that the house across the street from him was demolished.

Fortunately, the back road is in better shape than the main road. The power company was able to get in and put up a dozen new power poles and restore power.

It's a start, but there's a lot of work to do. If you can help, click here for the local Red Cross.
