Good news for Tolkien fans

Like a Christmas present the UPS guy leaves on your step the day after Christmas, I just saw a mention on Science Fiction Weekly that Peter Jackson has "settled his differences" with New Line Cinema and will be producing a movie version of The Hobbitt. Whoo hoo! Apparently, they have decided to make the story in two parts, the first to come out in 2010 and the second in 2011. It's not clear if Jackson will also direct or not. I hope he does!

Something to look forward to. I wonder who they will cast as Bilbo?
