Something else to worry about. . .

I try to avoid politics in this blog, but now is a difficult time to do that. This will definitely worry shunn. In fact, it's pretty scary in general. Why do so many people feel a need to make other people's reading decisions for them?

Why can't we all just get along?

ADDITIONAL INFO is on this Librarian-centric blog. Seems there is a lot of fuss, and no seems truly sure which books Palin tried to ban.

I'm no more worried than I already was. It's not as if the office of vice-president confers magical book-banning powers. If it did, I'm sure Cheney would have used them plenty by now.

In truth, I may be less worried now, because the more Palin talks the more she must be convincing anyone with the slightest leftish leanings what a reckless ticket the Republicans are running.

It's a sad comment when you can compare her to Dick Cheney and see so much similarity—she even shoots things (not people yet, so far as I know). What irks me is that she's held out a reformer and yet her reaction to anyone who doesn't toe her line seems to be to fire them.
