Alas, the three contestants left it for last. They didn't pick a single Hugo clue until there were no more categories on the board. And then they only got two of the five clues right. The clues were basically the title of an award winner with one word missing (e.g., _______ Troopers by Robert Heinlein). They even gave the authors' names, for crying out loud! They still missed three! They did get the lowest point question, Starship Troopers, by Heinlein, and the highest, A Canticle for Leibowitz, by Miller. They missed LeGuin's Left Hand of Darkness, Ellison's "For I Have no Mouth and I must Scream," and the third one, I think was Clarke's Rendezvous with Rama (I might be remembering that one wrongly).
It's like when you have two friends you want to like each other and they don't get along.
